Since December 1952, GCMC has been a musical tradition enjoyed by thousands of people along the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. The volunteer chorus presents Christmas and Easter performances of selections from G.F. Handel's timeless oratorio, Messiah.

ANNOUNCEMENT: We're seeking a new choral director!

After 10 years, our beloved director Dr. Paul McGahie has announced that he will be stepping down from the position in January 2022. We congratulate and celebrate him for his many years of service to us! The GCMC Board of Directors are now seeking an experienced choral director to carry our grand musical tradition forward into the new decade! It's almost time again!

Rehearsals for the Christmas portion of Messiah start in October!

GCMC is making plans to return to live performance after a full year of virtual concerts. The Board of Directors is finalizing their decision on how to proceed safely. In the meantime, director Paul McGahie suggests that our members look into the option of wearing masks optimized for choral singing! Here are some available versions.
